Job Title: Field Service Fitter

Orion Electrotech is seeking a skilled Field Service Fitter to join our team. As a Field Service Fitter, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers in the North of the M25 region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex bus transmission systems at customer locations and other sites.
  • Replace large parts or systems as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote product performance and identify service opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and advice to sales staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Report safety issues to Health & Safety managers and work with customers to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Complete jobs at company workshops when required and ensure all paperwork and engineering reports are submitted on time.
  • Manage work expenses and track stock levels to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
  • Perform stock checks and share product knowledge with colleagues to enhance team performance.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including extra or unsociable hours when needed, to meet customer demands.
  • Report any quality issues during work assignments and stay up to date with assigned training programs.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Requirements:
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship as minimum, level 5 qualification (or higher)/HND/HNC, DipHE.
  • Experience with HGV or Bus is essential.
  • Background in field services and engineering is required.
  • Full UK driving licence is necessary.
