We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our team at the NHS. As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiovascular medicine services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with NHS standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cardiovascular medicine services, including outpatient clinics and inpatient ward work.
- Share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participate in strategic planning.
- Engage in teaching, training, and continuous medical education to support the development of junior staff.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate academic degree in a relevant field.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Understanding of basic principles of audit, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.
- Experience of teaching medical students, doctors in training, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to critically appraise published evidence and participate in research.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and insight into all domains in GMC 'Good Medical Practice' and awareness of core values of the NHS Constitution.
