Join Our Team as a Consultant Cardiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Cardiologist to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centred cardiology services across our acute hospitals.

About the Role

As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will be responsible for leading the development of our new Heart Failure Hub at Peterborough City Hospital. You will work closely with our specialist team of 12 Cardiology consultants, specialist nurses, and an experienced Cardiac Physiology team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with cardiac conditions
  • Contribute to general cardiology services, including outpatients' clinics and inpatient ward work
  • Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
  • Teaching, training, and participation in continuing medical education

Requirements
  • Experience of teaching medical students, doctors in training, and other AHPs
  • Broad range of experience in cardiology, BHRS or equivalent accreditation in device implantation
  • Postgraduate academic degree
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register or, be within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview or, provide GMC eligibility for entry on the Specialist Register
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and insight into all domains in GMC Good Medical Practice
  • Up-to-date and aware of own training needs
  • Computer literacy and general IT skills
