We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Category Manager to join our client's team in Carbrook, Sheffield. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial category strategies to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the Forces served.
Main Responsibilities- Negotiating and influencing senior collective forums to drive procurement savings and efficiencies
- Delivering procurement savings plans and leading complex procurement projects
- Managing contract reviews and developing sustainable procurement strategies
- Providing excellent customer service to all parties involved
- Relevant experience managing high-value category management and delivering quantifiable procurement efficiencies
- Experience in mentoring or managing staff is also essential
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Diploma with full corporate membership (MCIPS)
- Excellent interpretation of procurement legislation
