Training Programme Director for Geriatric Medicine

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Training Programme Director for Geriatric Medicine. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of geriatric medicine training and a proven track record of delivering high-quality educational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Specialty's Regional Training Programme, ensuring that national standards and guidelines are met.
- Manage specialty-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Recruit and select trainees for training posts and programs, ensuring a diverse and talented pool of candidates.
- Develop and implement postgraduate program management strategies, including assessments, progression, rotations, support, and remediation.
- Collaborate with the Postgraduate Dean and other key stakeholders to produce doctors who embody the highest standards of patient-centered care and commit to lifelong professional development.
- Fellowship of a relevant professional association and/or body.
- Attendance at courses aimed at supporting educational development.
- Experience working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality educational programs and managing a multi-professional team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
