About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Portfolio Manager to join our team at UK Research and Innovation. As a Research Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of research activities across our Research Base, Cross Council Programmes, and Partnerships Directorate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and integrate internal and external information about the research and innovation landscape to inform portfolio decisions
  • Operate peer review and other formal decision-making processes to ensure high-quality research funding
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in universities and industry to promote research excellence
  • Work across teams to ensure cross-portfolio understanding and joint initiatives
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on activities and investments to inform planning and decision-making
