Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interdisciplinary Researcher to join our team at NERC - the Natural Environment Research Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing interdisciplinary research projects, collaborating with researchers from various disciplines, and developing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage interdisciplinary research projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among team members
  • Develop and implement innovative research strategies, leveraging expertise from multiple disciplines to address complex environmental challenges
  • Collaborate with researchers from various backgrounds, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring effective use of funds and personnel

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field, with a strong background in interdisciplinary research
  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex research projects, with experience in collaboration and team management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Experience in managing budgets, timelines, and resources, with a strong understanding of project management principles
