About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Green Gates Bupa Care Home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities and events that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver morning and afternoon activity sessions, including musical acts, days out, exercise classes, and arts and crafts
  • Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
  • Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to engage with their peers
  • Organize birthday surprises and other special events for residents
  • Ensure all necessary arrangements are made for planned activities, events, and days out
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to organize events and activities
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties as needed
  • Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, including reminiscing, puzzles, reading, and socializing
  • Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and manage emails
  • Support the home with social media channels as required
