Job Title: Personal Assistant - Disability Support

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours of Work: 1 or 2, 13-hour shifts per week, including some weekend working. Typical working hours are 7.30am-8.30pm.

Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour.

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to support an individual with physical disabilities in their home. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the individual's independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Preparing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with domestic tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers

As a Personal Assistant, you will work closely with the individual and their family to understand their needs and preferences. You will also work as part of a team to ensure that the individual receives the best possible care and support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
