About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Therapy Technical Instructor to join our Acute Medicine team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assess and treat patients referred by Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists, with a focus on rehabilitation and therapy interventions.
  • To develop and maintain competencies through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and stay up-to-date with the latest treatment protocols and techniques.
  • To work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
  • To contribute to the development of the Therapy Department and participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Grade C in English.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Band 3 Technical Instructor or Therapy Assistant, with a strong background in rehabilitation and therapy.
  • Working knowledge of a range of common medical conditions relevant to the area of work.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
