The successful candidate will engage with patients across various acute care settings, including the frailty unit and other critical areas, contributing to a comprehensive 7-day service.

Position Details:
- Band 4 Therapy Technical Specialist - 6 MONTH fixed term, with potential for extension.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of patients referred by Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists, ensuring regular communication with the assigned Therapist.
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment to all patients in accordance with established protocols, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments within agreed guidelines.
- Oversee all aspects of therapy interventions, including discharge planning and subsequent referrals.
- Enhance and maintain professional competencies through ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Qualifications & Training:
Essential:
- Education to GCSE level or equivalent, including a Grade C in English.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
Essential:
- Some experience as a Band 3 Technical Instructor or Therapy Assistant.
- Experience working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Desirable:
- Evidence of transferable skills.
- Relevant experience in a medical ward setting.
Knowledge:
Essential:
- Working knowledge of common medical conditions relevant to the role.
- Familiarity with a wide range of physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatment and rehabilitation techniques.
- Understanding of the Multi-Disciplinary Team dynamics.
- Awareness of safeguarding principles and the Mental Capacity Act.
- Knowledge of confidentiality issues within the healthcare environment.

- Experience in clinical audit participation.
