The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Consultant to support our go-to-market initiatives and sales execution as a subject matter expert on generator set controls, site level microgrid controls, paralleling sequences, and system components. As part of our global team, you'll work closely with our sales team, dealer network sales team, and service technician network to provide our customers with tailored solutions to their energy needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide product application expertise at point of sale or through various types of product training to customers, company sales personnel, and dealers.
  • Conduct product performance studies, assess customer job sites efficiency, and collect product and customer requirements to capitalize opportunities for incremental sales and create business cases for product improvement and new product introduction.
  • Manage marketing technology tools and systems, working with key stakeholders to develop a marketing technology product roadmap to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on timelines, marketing goals, and product roadmaps.
  • Oversee Percent of Industry Sales (PINS) trends, industry outlook, demand fluctuation, and basic customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Customer Focus Level: Extensive experience in facilitating the creation of 'right' products and services to resolve customer business issues.
  • Products and Services Level: Working knowledge of generator set controls, site level microgrid controls, paralleling sequences, or system components.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking Level: Working knowledge of analyzing situations and reaching productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications Level: Extensive experience in adapting documents and presentations for the intended audience, breaking complex topics down to the appropriate technical understanding, and communicating well to all stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management Level: Extensive experience in maintaining productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors.
