Overview

Perpetual Engineering is a prominent multi-disciplinary consultancy known for its expanding portfolio of projects. Our award-winning team of design engineering professionals is engaged in diverse sectors, including nuclear, defense, life sciences, biotechnology, industrial, healthcare, government services, education, and commercial ventures.

We are currently seeking skilled BIM technicians to enhance our growing MEP division.


Role Responsibilities

As a BIM Technician, you will collaborate with the MEP design team to deliver mechanical and electrical design solutions through Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and various digital outputs.

Adhering to the latest BIM standards and the UK BIM Framework, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of building services projects across multiple sectors.


Key Duties Include:
  • Setting up new Revit and CAD projects using established templates.
  • Creating and modifying models and drawings based on engineering feedback.
  • Developing schematics and linking them to model data.
  • Ensuring file management aligns with the company's quality assurance protocols.
  • Executing model exports, including IFC, NWC, DWFX, DWG, and PDF formats.
  • Incorporating classification data into models.
  • Utilizing built-in interference checking tools and other software solutions for quality assurance of models.
  • Coordinating with the BIM Manager to uphold industry and company-specific standards.
  • Ensuring MEP models meet project BIM specifications.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates should possess:
  • Experience as a Task Team Information Manager on BIM projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with MagiCAD, Navisworks, and/or Solibri is advantageous.
  • Experience working within an MEP design team, with a solid understanding of building services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with design engineers.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage personal workload efficiently.
