Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Porter to join our team at St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accommodation systems and providing exceptional customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accommodation Management: Ensure all accommodation systems are up to date and functioning correctly, including recording delivery and sorting/franking of parcels and post.
  • Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for students and staff, dealing with emergencies such as security, fire, and first aid.
  • Financial Management: Store cash and financial details appropriately and contact facilities support out of hours as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and IT systems to complete tasks and maintain accurate records.
