Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Site Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a clinically effective and safe manner, particularly during overnight and weekend periods.

Key Duties
  • Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of excellence and quality care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve patient safety, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery, addressing any challenges or concerns that may arise.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to enhance service user outcomes.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in an inpatient setting, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Mental Health Act 1983 and its associated policy requirements.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to colleagues on matters related to patient safety, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
Person Specification
  • Registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a Part 3 ENB 998 or equivalent qualification.
  • Postgraduate degree or extensive experience in community mental health nursing, with a strong understanding of recovery principles.
  • Ability to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including CBT, psychosocial interventions, and family interventions.
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge, supported by theory and experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
