Network Infrastructure Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, security, and maintenance of our school's ICT network. This includes the software and hardware infrastructure, ensuring its stability and security while optimizing its use by staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain the school's ICT network infrastructure, including software and hardware.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support to staff and students.
- Ensure all work is in line with school policies and procedures.
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring requests are dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Line manage the work of ICT support staff.
- Supply technical advice, training, and support to staff to ensure they can effectively use systems.
- Monitor and maintain key systems, including virtual and physical server environments, switches, Microsoft 365, and backups.
- Train internal staff on new systems and technologies.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as an IT Manager/Network Manager/Senior ICT Consultant in a school setting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving services.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and top-end customer service skills.
- High-level understanding of working within a school environment.
- Skilled in performing upgrades to a school IT network system.
- Full-time position, subject to an enhanced DBS check.
