About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Document Controller to join our team at EDF's Generation Business Unit. As a key member of our Business Performance Group, you will be responsible for leading the Document Management Team and ensuring the effective management of documents and records across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Document Control, Records & Archive and Drawing Office Teams, managing the day-to-day work to ensure document and records procedures are implemented and complied with.
  • Process documents through from indexing, formatting, reviewing, approving, issuing, distributing and archiving using the company electronic system.
  • Manage and develop the document and records management processes in line with best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Provide quality assurance in compliance with document and records procedures to ensure the documents and records are managed to satisfy site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures and safety rules.
  • Provide support for document management owners, reviewers and approvers.
  • Ensure team resources, processes and activities are continuously reviewed and optimised to meet business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience of Nuclear or a similar highly regulated industry.
  • Relevant national qualification, e.g., City & Guilds in Business Administration.
  • Working knowledge of national standards applicable to the management of documents and records.
  • Previous experience of working with information and records management principles and information systems, hierarchies and archives.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and time critical environment where change is a regular occurrence.
  • Effective team player and relationship builder, with ability to liaise with stakeholders from Senior Management to members of the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR).
  • Effective leader and stakeholder manager, with ability to build long-standing relationships across the business.
  • Influential leader, able to competently discuss process compliance from both a technical and business perspective.
