Overview
This role is essential in supporting the Customer Service and Sales divisions by performing a wide array of customer service tasks for designated clients related to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and/or repair sales inquiries and orders. Responsibilities encompass pricing, quoting, reviewing purchase orders, entering orders, resolving customer hold issues, expediting orders, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns, all aimed at fostering positive customer relationships within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between assigned clients and Sales Engineering, Materials Operations, and Finance teams to fulfill customer requirements and business objectives.
- Review purchase orders, manage order entry, and resolve customer-related issues.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
- Examine customer contracts, specifications, purchase orders, shipping instructions, and other requirements while supporting documentation.
- Maintain organized records for quotes, orders, contracts, and related customer documents.
- Engage with the sales team to identify and clarify information and research needs.
- Provide customer interfacing support, particularly as a backup for internal requests when the Sales team is unavailable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the responsible manager or business unit manager.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma required; college coursework in a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years as a Customer Service Representative in OEM, MRO, or Aftermarket preferred.
- Prior experience with contracts is preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities; well-developed organizational skills; and the capacity to be self-directed while relating effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are imperative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to function as an effective team member and demonstrate initiative.
- Looking for a proactive individual with the capability to see the bigger picture.
- Proven skills in business partnership and the ability to work in a matrixed organizational structure.
- Must manage a high volume of transactions and prioritize tasks to meet the evolving demands of the business.
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Flexible work hours are required, with potential for overtime to meet the demands of the role.
- Aerospace industry experience is advantageous.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Must communicate clearly and concisely in English with customers.
- Essential physical tasks include regular sitting or standing, walking, bending, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regular use of hands/fingers for handling, holding, grasping, and typing on a computer keyboard.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
