About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Caseworker at Victim Support, where you will play a vital role in supporting victims of crime in Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services that meet the needs of victims.
  • Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld.
  • Work collaboratively with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to addressing safeguarding concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families.
  • Understanding and knowledge of promoting equal opportunities, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices, in accordance with safeguarding and data protection legislation.
  • Good IT and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
