Job Title: SEMH Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH Support Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding school in Tower Hamlets. As a SEMH Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and SEMH needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide emotional and behavioral support to pupils, helping them to manage their emotions and develop positive relationships
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that pupils with SEN and SEMH needs are fully included
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure that pupils receive consistent support and guidance
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential
