About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker at MIGHouse. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional well-being of the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people with their daily needs, including personal care and hygiene
  • Assist with developing and implementing individual support plans to promote positive behavior and independence
  • Build strong relationships with the children and young people, providing emotional support and guidance as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to care
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • DBS clearance essential
  • Level 3 in residential childcare desirable or willingness to complete within 2 years
  • Previous experience in childcare or residential care desirable

Working Hours

We require our support workers to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends, with a 40-hour working week. Shifts will include 10-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts, as well as day shifts.
