Pontoon Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office eTrading Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance, low-latency trading components using Java.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-performance, low-latency trading components using Java, including multi-threading and low-latency messaging.
- Utilize your experience with Linux, UNIX, and Agile methodologies to develop robust systems with an emphasis on performance, supportability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including developers, support, and front office, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of tasks.
- Employ excellent development practices, including pairing, code reviews, unit testing, and regression testing.
- Possess strong troubleshooting and debugging skills on Linux/Windows using gdb and other profiling tools.
- Hold a degree in Science or Engineering.
- Proven ability to work independently and exhibit strong troubleshooting skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively document and communicate issues.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Solid development experience in complex application development using Java, with a background in multi-threaded implementation and low-latency messaging.
- Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to coordinate tasks with different stakeholder groups, showing proactiveness and high motivation.
- Experience working in Fixed Income eTrading technology.
- In-depth knowledge of agile development practices, with a focus on writing thorough and testable code.
- Familiarity with message-oriented middleware such as 29 West/Solace/AMPS/RV.
