The Nuclear Medicine Service operates with a dedicated team of professionals across multiple locations, providing essential diagnostic imaging and therapeutic services. Our facilities are equipped with advanced technology, including gamma cameras and bone densitometers, to ensure high-quality patient care.
Our clinics deliver a wide array of diagnostic imaging and non-imaging assessments, covering various medical specialties such as cardiology, oncology, and orthopaedics. Additionally, we are expanding our molecular therapy services to enhance patient treatment options.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a welcoming and efficient service to patients, visitors, and all service users.
- Accurately input patient information into the relevant computer systems.
- Verify patient details during each visit to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, addressing inquiries from stakeholders promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clinic staff and patients regarding any delays or issues.
- Manage referrals for investigations, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Schedule, modify, or cancel appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
- Distribute patient information and feedback forms as necessary.
- Notify patients of their appointments via letter, including all relevant information.
- Assist patients with transportation and escort arrangements when needed.
- Utilize local patient record systems for maintaining patient-related information.
- Prepare request cards for upcoming appointments, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Type reports in line with departmental targets.
- Organize reports for forwarding to referrers, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain organized filing systems within the work area.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Assist the clinical team in managing patient flow through the service.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
- Remain flexible in work arrangements to support service continuity during staff absences.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or public-facing roles.
Desirable
- Previous experience in the NHS in a patient-facing capacity.
- Familiarity with computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Knowledge of hospital computer systems.
Skills and Attributes
