Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager
MEP Contracting (Building Services)

A prominent construction and engineering organization, recognized for executing exceptional building services projects across diverse sectors—such as education, healthcare, commercial, and residential—is in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager.

This position involves overseeing a significant commercial Shell & Core project currently in the early stages of development. The successful applicant will be instrumental in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the mechanical components of this major initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the planning and coordination of mechanical services, ensuring they align with the overall project schedule and goals.
  • Engage in design development, cost estimation, and scheduling during the pre-construction phase.
  • Oversee and manage both in-house and subcontracted teams, ensuring compliance with timelines, plans, and quality benchmarks.
  • Establish and uphold site Health & Safety standards, ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs) are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Collaborate with clients, principal contractors, and other stakeholders to address technical challenges and facilitate effective communication.
  • Ensure superior workmanship and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage inventory and pre-order essential materials and components to reduce downtime.
  • Compile and maintain thorough project documentation, including QA/Snag packs, testing sheets, and results for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Work in conjunction with all trades to minimize oversights and disruptions, ensuring a seamless workflow.
