About the Role

Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be located in Cumbria and will be an integral part of the Project control's function, providing discipline-level support within a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety policies and compliance with company standard operating procedures.
  2. Collect and verify data sets to build approved detailed baselines, including Basis of Schedule generation.
  3. Facilitate Interactive Planning sessions (IAP) with project stakeholders to promote collaborative working relationships and secure a quality product.
  4. Apply activity and appropriate coding structures (WBS, OBS, CBS) in the proprietary software Primavera P6.
  5. Exchange electronic planning data with internal and supply chain departments and clients.
  6. Gather information and liaise with functional delivery departments, including supply chain interface, regarding project progress and performance claims.
  7. Introduce and analyze approved changes into the execution program.
  8. Produce and distribute reports, including Earned Value Monitoring (EVM) and forecasting.
  9. Monitor and take corrective action on approved commercial and project KPIs.
  10. Attend relevant project, progress, and planning meetings.
