Corrigenda is seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team, focusing on the University of Portsmouth contract. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial and contractual elements of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with senior management and report directly to the Commercial Manager.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial applications.
- Manage the financial and technical components of the contract, including procurement, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost management.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations.
- Optimize costs while maximizing value to enhance profitability.
- Draft high-quality quotation letters.
- Ensure precise preparation of quotations, verifying quantities and rates for both in-scope and out-of-scope opportunities.
- Assess costs and provide insights on alternative proposals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Conduct job cost reporting from initiation to completion.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven and motivated individual.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Methodical and analytical mindset.
