About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASD tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a one-to-one tutor, you will work with children and young people who have additional needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face support to children with ASD, working with them to develop their learning and skills.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapting to the individual needs of each child.
  • Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Work with children to set and achieve learning goals, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to supporting the child's needs.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special education needs, preferably in a one-to-one setting.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapting to the individual needs of each child.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
