About the Role

TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our rapidly expanding retail maintenance team in North London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our stores by performing general reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general reactive maintenance tasks in stores, including repairs to toilets, shop floors, and communal areas.
  • Carry out tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing taps, and fixing shelves, as well as minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct regular building inspections, including roof walks and building checks.
  • Perform PPMs (Predictive Maintenance Tasks) such as Legionella testing, fire alarm testing, and sprinkler testing.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
