Job Title: Plant Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at the Women's Engineering Society. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality System Implementation: Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF16949, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Quality Improvement Programs: Identify and implement specific focused 'Quality Improvement Programs' to deliver year-on-year quality improvements, utilizing relevant tools and techniques with a zero-defect mindset.
  • Process Audits: Regularly audit production processes and work instructions, highlighting non-conformances and drive rectification activities.
  • New Project Introduction: Support all New Project Introduction and continuous improvement activities striving towards zero defect and a flawless launch.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigation of quality issues to identify root cause and complete appropriate corrective action paperwork, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Change Management: Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture.
  • Customer Returns: Analysis and reporting of customer returns/rejections in line with internal KPIs and customer expectation.

Requirements:

  • Education: HNC/Degree in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent)
  • Experience: Experience gained in a manufacturing quality or supply chain quality environment, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Skills: Experience with Quality Improvement Programs, Pareto, PFMEA, 5s, 6 Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools.
  • Tools: Experience in the use of statistical analysis, process capability, and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.)
