CLINICAL LABORATORY SERVICES

Clinical Laboratory Associate - Point of Care Testing

Band 4 £27,598 – £30,019 per annum

Plus £1,279 Distant Island Allowance per annum

37.5 Hours per Week

Permanent Position

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Clinical Laboratory Associate in Point of Care Testing to become part of the team providing diagnostic laboratory services for NHS Western Isles.

We are looking for a motivated individual to perform technical and administrative tasks under the guidance of qualified personnel. Prior experience in medical laboratory operations would be beneficial.

Responsibilities will encompass managing the laboratory's point of care network, addressing equipment malfunctions, overseeing internal quality assessments and external quality assurance submissions, as well as providing training on the operation of point of care devices. The position is primarily located at the Western Isles Hospital but may involve travel to various community sites.

The successful candidate will need to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). Please note that this position does not qualify for relocation expenses.
