Capita Public Service Division is seeking a dedicated Study Support Specialist to join their team.

As a Study Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering students by providing comprehensive support and guidance throughout their academic journey.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth meetings with individuals to collaboratively determine effective study strategies and support systems tailored to their unique needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate assistive technology solutions, ensuring they align with individual requirements and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive study needs assessment reports, clearly outlining the identified needs and recommended support measures for students receiving Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA).
  • Deliver high-quality assistive technology training sessions, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize these tools.

Essential Requirements:

  • Exceptional report writing abilities, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of DSA funding guidelines and procedures, enabling you to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
  • Fluency in both Welsh and English, facilitating effective communication with a diverse student population.
  • A strong understanding of various assistive technologies and their applications in an educational setting.
  • The ability to work effectively within established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), demonstrating commitment to achieving targets and delivering high-quality service.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent organizational skills, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient task completion.
