About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at MacIntyre. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in leading a busy service, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism to live fulfilling lives.

Our service is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to develop their skills and independence. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading a team of support workers, ensuring that individuals receive high-quality care and support that meets their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence, choice, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members, to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure that individuals receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care and support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of support workers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Manual driving license and ability to drive adapted vehicles.
