Job Overview

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with Severfield, the UK's largest specialist structural steelwork group, to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their Nuclear and Infrastructure division.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on high-profile projects in the defence, nuclear, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the commercial success of key nuclear and defence projects
  • Managing commercial aspects from contract award to completion and final account
  • Coordinating variations and changes with customers
  • Collaborating with an experienced commercial team
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Working closely with internal departments to achieve profitable outcomes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a QS or Senior QS
  • Construction industry experience in a commercial role
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
  • Experience in managing and delivering variations while retaining repeat business
