Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. As a key member of our Major Projects team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial functions delivery of a bespoke or part of a package of work on a nuclear licensed site.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost.
  • Prepare monthly and final applications for payment.
  • Place and subsequent financial management of sub-contract agreements.
  • Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance, The financial impact of decisions; Value maximisation/cost saving techniques; Procurement strategy
  • Accurately monitor, forecast and report project cost and value.
Requirements:
  • Experience on NEC contracts with Target Costs.
  • Experience within the construction or civils industry with demonstrable track record of achievement.
  • Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience of developing & implementing procurement and contract strategies.

Due to the nature of this role and the nature of the work at this site, you will be required to complete a Government Security Check (SC) Clearance / Counter Terrorism Check (CTC), which takes place during/before your employment, and is conducted by the Cabinet Office's United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) agency who set out a pre-requisite criteria including residency history. This role will also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
