This is a senior leadership position within Aviva's Credit Risk team, responsible for overseeing the origination and monitoring of private debt assets. The successful candidate will have a strong background in credit risk analysis and will be able to provide expert guidance on credit risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Credit Risk team in the origination and monitoring of private debt assets
- Develop and implement credit risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses
- Collaborate with the origination team to target investments and structure solutions
- Provide written credit risk opinions on new private debt assets proposed for approval by the Investment Committee
- Attend internal and external client/stakeholder meetings to explain risk drivers and mitigating strategies
- Experience in analysing private corporate debt/structured finance debt in an asset management, financial institution or rating agency setting
- Experience in assessing corporate credit risk in high yield debt markets would be strongly preferable
- Experience in credit work outs and restructurings
- Strong knowledge of rating methodologies used by ECAI and ability to practically apply across range of investments
- Ability to identify risks impacting a broad range of structures
