About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of new and existing engineering projects, working closely with our clients to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Management: Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  2. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards, reviewing technical specifications and developing engineering solutions to meet client needs.
  3. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution, monitoring progress and identifying potential issues.
  4. Site Management: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance, overseeing the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project documentation, ensuring timely completion with the project lead, and support technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Risk Management: Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Master's degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree, with a minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment.
  2. Professional Qualifications: CEng status preferred.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package, strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way, and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
  4. Security Clearance: Due to security restrictions, this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
