About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemistry Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our examination marking process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times to ensure quality control and consistency.
  • Meet milestones for marking and ensure all administration is completed as specified.

Requirements

  • You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, relevant to the subject and qualification.
  • You will have a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and possess a high level of subject knowledge in Chemistry.

Additional Information

  • The marking period typically takes place between May and July.
  • The training required to mark as an Examiner will take place between May and June.
