About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our GCE A Level Chinese examination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Utilize ePEN, a digital marking system, to mark scripts from the comfort of your own home.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times to ensure quality control.
  • Meet milestones for marking and ensure all administration is completed as specified.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification as a teacher, with a minimum of 5 months part-time teaching experience of the relevant qualification and subject within the last 10 years.
  • Assessment experience with a recognized UK exam board within the last 5 years, relevant to the qualification and subject being applied for.

Preferred Skills

  • Fluency in reading both Simplified and Traditional Chinese characters.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
