Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Advanced Nurse Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of evidence-based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide and manage an expert specialist nursing service for people with specialist needs.
  • Be actively involved in inpatient care, liaising with ward staff to ensure high-quality nursing care.
  • Ensure operational policies are reviewed annually following national standards.
  • Ensure all care is given following agreed protocols.
  • Work with the MDT to develop, implement and evaluate integrated care pathways and systems of MDT documentation.
  • Liaise with local community, social services, paramedics and voluntary organisations in order to develop existing services for clients, carers and health professional.
Requirements
  • MSc Level qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Advanced communication Skills Training
  • Leadership Qualification
  • Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personalized care and be able to influence and overcome resistance through application of advanced communication skills. They will also have expertise in KPI related to the role of the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist and be able to make clinical decisions based on evidence.
