Position Overview

As a GFX Equipment Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the upkeep of all assigned GFX Equipment to meet Naval Harbour Acceptance Trial (HAT) Standards. This includes maintenance in accordance with the Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) as well as Non-UMMS maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure GFX equipment and infrastructure in line with RFMS to fulfill the requirements of the Trials Programme.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all designated GFX equipment in compliance with UMMS, BRs, JSPs, and OEM guidelines.
  • Guarantee that GFX equipment is safe, well-maintained, and ready for daily trials scheduled on RFMS.
  • Collaborate effectively with Combat Systems Engineers, teams, and clients to provide support, expert advice, and maintenance presence during trials, including in situ assistance. This will involve troubleshooting, defect resolution, equipment reconfiguration, and supporting monthly System Operator Checks as directed by the Operations Team.
  • Manage and investigate GFX defects in accordance with relevant documentation, ensuring defects are registered on RFMS, updated regularly, and that the Operations Team is kept informed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in a maintenance role, particularly focused on Communication Systems, is essential.
