Job Summary
Gap Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for fitting electrical components, assembling control panels, and installing electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting of electrical components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assembling a wide variety of electrical control panels, including PLCs, inverters, sensors, relays, busbars, breakers, drives, and inverters.
- Installation and testing of electrical panels and cable assemblies.
- Commissioning of machines and factory and site acceptance.
Requirements
- Fully qualified in BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition).
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Experience in control and automation.
- Experience in building and modifying control panels.
- Knowledge of BS 60204 Electrical equipment of machines and control panels.
- Experience in fault finding.
- Experience and knowledge of testing to BS7671.
- An understanding of Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
- Ability to read schematic drawings.
- Flexible working within a team.
- Adaptability to periodic tight timescales.
