Transport Operator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Operator to join our team at Proactive Personnel Ltd. As a Transport Operator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our haulage business, responsible for transport planning, driver de-brief, and operational administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport planning for a fleet of HGV's, ensuring efficient routes and schedules.
  • Conducting driver de-briefs to discuss performance and provide feedback.
  • Providing operational administration support as required, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc transport office duties, such as answering phone calls and responding to emails.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • A strong understanding of compliance within the transport industry, including knowledge of regulations and legislation.
  • IT literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced transport office environment.
  • Previous experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business, preferably with container logistics experience.
