Job Role

As a Children's Support Worker with Nurseplus, you will play a vital role in supporting children in care, putting their needs at the forefront of everything you do. Your day-to-day role will involve working closely with children, supporting them in all aspects of their lives, including educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.

Responsibilities
  1. Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
  2. Assist with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
  3. Organise and facilitate social activities
  4. Transportation
  5. Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  6. Offer high levels of supervision and support
  7. Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  8. Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
  9. Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
Requirements
  1. Previous experience working within a child and/or young adult setting
  2. A level 2 or 3 qualification in Child & Young Peoples Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  3. All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  4. Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  5. An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration (Cost of which £45.40. This will be refunded after a set period of work)
  6. A Full UK Driving License is desirable
