Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the role of Vice President, AI Engineering Lead. This position is pivotal within our Markets Operations Applied AI team, where you will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-quality AI/ML solutions that drive business impact. Your expertise in software engineering will be crucial in developing innovative Proof of Concepts and demonstrations that effectively showcase our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development Excellence - Architect, develop, and sustain robust, scalable software solutions that facilitate AI/ML initiatives.
  • Prototyping and Demonstration - Quickly create prototypes and demonstrations to clearly convey AI/ML solutions to business stakeholders during the early phases of development.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams - Engage closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Code Quality Improvement - Elevate the standards of code quality and engineering practices within the data science team by implementing best practices and offering technical mentorship.
  • AI/ML Model Integration - Partner with machine learning engineers to seamlessly integrate AI/ML models into production environments, ensuring smooth deployment and functionality.
  • Mentorship and Leadership - Provide guidance and technical leadership to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Significant experience in software development, particularly in creating scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML principles and experience collaborating with data science teams to design and implement AI/ML solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant web technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly develop prototypes and visualizations of complex technical solutions.
  • A strong proponent of code quality, best practices, and software development methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in providing technical mentorship and support to team members.
