Light Commercial Vehicle Technician

Salary: Up to £34,000 basic salary, uncapped bonus, OTE £40,000
Our client, a leading automotive dealership group, is seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their busy service team in Stockton-on-Tees. The company has a turnover of approximately £250 million and employs over 700 members of staff across 12 dealerships and 1 dedicated service centre.
As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repairing and replacing parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
- Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
