We are seeking a skilled **Test and Repair Technician** to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our finished production units.
**Key Responsibilities**- Investigate and test finished production units to specification, identifying and rectifying faults and defects.
- Complete test reports and documentation in accordance with customer requirements and quality management system standards.
- Upgrade and modify assemblies and finished products to meet customer needs.
- Implement changes to assemblies and finished products in accordance with documentation and quality management system standards.
- Identify product quality and performance issues and raise non-conformances as necessary.
- Liaise with design engineering, test equipment design, and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met and product quality and performance are maintained.
- Support the company's environmental and quality management systems, including seeking opportunities for improvement and suggesting new ideas.
- Test product by following test procedures accurately and meeting standard times.
- Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies, and multimeters.
- Experience in soldering and rework methods to IPC standards.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing facility and competent in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Repair and diagnostic fault-finding experience to component level.
- HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering desirable.
- Knowledge of high voltage test methods a distinct advantage.
