About the Role
The University of Essex is seeking a skilled 1st Line Deployment Technician to join their IT Customer Experience group. As a key member of the Learning Environments and Technical Systems team, you will be responsible for deploying, installing, maintaining, and replacing technologies that support teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and install IT equipment, including PCs, multifunctional printers, and teaching room technologies.
- Maintain and repair existing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver major University-wide projects and live events.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to staff and students.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and develop good working relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience working with IT equipment in an enterprise environment.
