About the Role
The University of Essex is seeking a skilled 1st Line Deployment Technician to join their IT Customer Experience group. As a key member of the Learning Environments and Technical Systems team, you will be responsible for deploying, installing, maintaining, and replacing technologies that support teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and install IT equipment, including PCs, multifunctional printers, and teaching room technologies.
- Maintain and repair existing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver major University-wide projects and live events, such as Graduation.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Strong communication and customer service skills.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.Experience working with IT equipment in an enterprise environment.What We Offer
