This position is a Fixed Term Contract.

Role Overview:

This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various locations. You will serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related concerns within your designated sites. In instances requiring specialized intervention, you will be responsible for initiating the request for expert assistance.

The main objective of this position is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical documentation and compliance records are meticulously maintained and current. All tasks must be executed to the highest standards, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timelines, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as needed.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet established timelines and response expectations.
  • Conduct maintenance for reactive and planned fire alarm systems.
  • Perform emergency lighting tests and necessary repairs.
  • Adhere to the purchase order process.
  • Identify irreparable faults in equipment and promptly inform the Line Manager, providing recommendations for suitable replacements.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is consistently updated and accurate.
  • Communicate with on-site management regarding any maintenance issues that may disrupt site operations.
  • Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required by management.
  • Carry out minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise, following current specifications.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
  • Attend training sessions as necessary to keep your skills aligned with technical advancements.
  • Uphold the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster positive relationships with both City and client personnel.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
  • Collaborate with company and client staff to maintain established quality standards.
  • Comply with any other reasonable requests or instructions from management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum education of GCSE/Standard Grade level; ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Proficiency in 3-phase electrical systems and their applications.
  • Capability to maintain and repair a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Commitment to quality in repairs and maintenance.
  • Efficiency and speed in task execution.
  • Timely response to service requests within agreed timeframes.
  • Successful completion of the PPM schedule within set deadlines.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
  • Positive feedback from clients and colleagues.
