Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Internal Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Atkore. As a key member of our Project Management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams to ensure smooth project progression and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and any other relevant records.
- Track project milestones and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of all tasks. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and escalate any potential delays or issues.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure that the necessary resources (personnel, materials, equipment) are available and allocated to projects as required.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet the required specifications before delivery.
- Assist with the management of export projects, including the preparation of documentation, coordination of shipping logistics, and compliance with international regulations.
- Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project, Trello, Asana)
- Familiarity with UK and international trade regulations and export documentation
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
